আজ রবিবার হুমায়ূন আহমেদের লেখা ও সৃষ্ট একটি পারিবারিক হাসির নাটক, বিটিভির জন্য পরিচালনা করেছেন মনির হোসেন জীবন। প্রায় পঞ্চাশ মিনিটের সাতটি পর্বে প্রচারিত নাটকটির প্রায় পুরোটাই বিটিভির স্টুডিওর ভেতরে ধারণ করা।
নাটকটি প্রথম প্রচারিত হয় ১৯৯৬ সালের ২ আগস্ট, এক শুক্রবারে। দর্শকদের স্মৃতিতে এটি ছিল সপ্তাহান্তের সেরা অনুষ্ঠান।
এর রসিকতা কখনো পুরনো হয়নি। অনলাইনে নাটকটিকে ঘিরে গড়ে উঠেছে মিম সংস্কৃতি, আর এর সংলাপ ও চরিত্র ফিরে আসে টি-শার্টে আর রোজকার আড্ডায়। ২০১৬ সালে স্টার প্লাস নাটকটি হিন্দিতে ভারতীয় দর্শকদের জন্য প্রচার করে।
Aaj Robibar, "Today is Sunday", is a family sitcom written and created by Humayun Ahmed and directed by Monir Hossain Jibon for BTV. It ran seven episodes of about fifty minutes, and was shot almost entirely indoors in BTV's studios.
It first aired on 2 August 1996, a Friday, and viewers remember it as the TV highlight of their weekend.
Its jokes never left. A whole meme culture grew around the show online, and its lines and characters turn up on t-shirts and in everyday chat. In 2016 Star Plus picked it up and aired it in Hindi for Indian audiences.

হুমায়ূন আহমেদ (১৯৪৮–২০১২) বাংলাদেশের সবচেয়ে প্রিয় গল্পকার: ঔপন্যাসিক, নাট্যকার, চলচ্চিত্রকার ও গীতিকার। লেখালেখিতে পুরো সময় দিতে তিনি ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের রসায়নের অধ্যাপনা ছেড়ে দেন, আর তাঁর বইয়ের বিক্রি প্রায় সবাইকে ছাড়িয়ে যায়।
টেলিভিশনে তিনি বিটিভির নাটককে উৎসবে পরিণত করেছিলেন। পরিবারগুলো তাঁর নাটকের সময় ধরে সপ্তাহ সাজাত, আর তাঁর চরিত্রদের সংলাপ ঢুকে পড়ত রোজকার বাংলায়।
আজ রবিবার তাঁর ঘরোয়া হাস্যরসের অনন্য উদাহরণ: খ্যাপাটে আত্মীয়, বুদ্ধিমতী মেয়েরা, বেচারা এক আশ্রিত ছাত্র, আর তাঁর উপন্যাসের হলুদ পাঞ্জাবির হিমুর এক ঝলক।
Humayun Ahmed (1948–2012) was Bangladesh's best-loved storyteller: novelist, playwright, filmmaker and songwriter. He left a chemistry professorship at Dhaka University to write full time, and his books outsold almost everyone's.
On television he made the BTV natok an event. Families planned their week around his dramas, and his characters' lines passed into everyday Bangla.
Aaj Robibar shows his gift for comic chaos at home: eccentric relatives, sharp young women, a hapless lodger, and a glimpse of Himu, the yellow-panjabi wanderer from his novels.
